I’m not proud to admit that I am a little too type a, critical and detail oriented. With those characteristics comes lots of grand ideas, tough judgment and asks. Christian listened to all of them. He accommodated for my needs, wants and hopes for our wedding video. He had enormous patience with me. It was a pleasure to work with him throughout the wedding day. He executed on all the things we could’ve asked for. It’s very stressful as the bride trying to lockdown the best of the best vendors, but I can confidently say he is one of them.

Christian at Wild Fern Weddings was recommended to me by another videographer when I began my search for our wedding. I've seen so many wedding videos over the years, but none that incorporate his documentary style clips into the film quite like he is able to. On the wedding day, Christian gave my bridesmaids a camcorder to carry around, making for an incredible addition to what he was able to capture. The camcorder allowed friends and family to be comfortable saying what they wanted to us on the film. Christian took the beautiful footage he captured and incorporated clips from the camcorder to make an incredible film that we felt truly captured us as a couple, along with our friends and family. I haven't even had the film for a week and I have probably watched it 100 times already. We initially weren't sure if we were going to get a videographer. After seeing this film Christian put together, I can not imagine not having one. Money spent on this film is probably the best money we spent for anything related to the wedding. But being able to relive the day through our videos is so special and we are so glad we entrusted Christian with these precious memories.The highlight film is a great way to see the best parts of your day, but we also opted for the documentary film, which is a condensed, edited version of your entire wedding day into about an hour and 15 minutes. From the getting ready process, to the full ceremony, cocktail hour, first dances, toasts and speeches, and reception partying. Christian brought all of those moments back to life for us. Video editing is truly an art style and Christian’s work is top tier. The audio clips laid over footage, the music selection, the transitions from one scene to another. So much time, energy, and effort goes into these work products and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. It is not easy to do, but Christian makes it look and seem effortless (in the best way possible).We hooked the video up to our big screen TV, poured ourselves a glass of champagne and time traveled back to our favorite day seeing everything play out from beginning to end. It brought back memories and emotions, and showed our day from perspectives we didn’t get to participate in. We are going to make it a tradition to watch it every year on our anniversary. What a wonderful experience from start to finish. Christian was so amazing from the get go. He really got to know the two of us through calls, texts, and video chat so that he would have a better idea of how to make our wedding video absolutely perfect and so “us.” We have not seen out video yet, but I have no doubt that it will be a treasure. I wish there was a way to give 10 million stars. I don't know where to begin! Being in the wedding industry myself made it difficult to choose wedding vendors, except for when it came to our decision on videography. This was a no brainer for us. Christian did an amazing job on our wedding ceremony film and highlight video. You can tell he really has a passion for film, and he goes above and beyond to make your film unique and personal to you. I reached out to Christian when I had to re-schedule my reception to next year, and asked if he would film our small family ceremony and celebration. He created a custom package just for us, to make sure our COVID wedding was still captured. He knew that most of our family and friends could not attend, so he had our ceremony film ready to share the Monday after our Saturday wedding. The highlight video blew us away. It was so well-done and personal to us. Christian even traveled to our hometown to get some footage to include in our video. Fast forward to one year later, and Christian has created another amazing highlight film from our wedding reception. Christian was very communicative before the wedding and made sure he had a good idea of what we wanted/didn't want in our highlight video. He captured the day beautifully. He was also so helpful on the wedding day. He helped the groomsmen transport items to the venue and even helped clean up at the end of the night. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Cannot stress this enough! Christian helped to arrange and video a surprise proposal for me in Nashville. He was extremely proactive and went to the site weeks in advance (thankfully) and found out the mural was actually no longer there. He then helped to devise a new plan last minute. He played the part of a behind the scenes videographer perfectly! He was extremely responsive to every email and request I had, and have amazing ideas I would have never thought of. He ended up producing a 2 minute video of the entire proposal and photoshoot that we could no be happier with. Every time we watch it, or we show it to people, no one can resist tearing up. Originally for our wedding back in October we had no plans to hire a videographer but once the pandemic started and we realized our wedding would look different than planned we decided it would be worthwhile to share the video with friends and family who couldn’t make it. I was very diligent in searching for the right videographer to capture mine and my wife’s wedding day. Upon hiring Wild Fern Weddings, Christian has been nothing but helpful and professional. He was always very responsive and receptive to any input on ideas I had as to how our day should be captured. He went out of his way to get to know us on a personal level to get a true snapshot to create the perfect film for us. After much anticipation, we received our wedding video around 24 hours ago (from the writing of this review). It has since been viewed by me and my wife at least 10 times and plenty of tears shed along with each viewing.  It was absolutely stunning.  Even before the wedding, Christian was our favorite vendor, and that did not change throughout this entire process. We know beyond the shadow of a doubt that we made the right choice for our videographer!

Just got our super 8 film back and it was everything I hoped it would be and so much sooner than expected too! The session was so much fun and Christian was so kind and patient with us! We would definitely use him again for any of our videography needs!

Booking Wild Fern for our wedding ceremony video was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process! My husband and I had a private ceremony and a reception for close friends and family a few weeks later and were able to share our ceremony experience and play the video at our reception and seeing everyone’s faces (and tears) was better than if they were actually there I think because we could share that experience again with them! Christian was an absolute dream to work with, he was flexible with our non-traditional wedding plan and so thoughtful in the video footage it was wild (pun intended!) how we didn’t know him but the way he created the video felt like he knew us and really captured the day and moments perfectly. I’ve watched the video probably over 100 times at this point and cry every time, literally tearing up writing this review! I was so impressed with Christian’s artistic eye and he went above and beyond to get the perfect shot and I am so thankful for him!

Christian took the time to really get to know us before the wedding so he’d know what was important to us. He also took extra time to add in customizations we wanted.
