THEIR STORY

SOME BREAKUP LETTERS LEAD TO A WEDDING

Seven years ago, a Princeton-athlete love story was ended by the kindest breakup letter ever written. Today, their wedding film begins with that same letter.

Their wedding film tells this story, while weaving in the celebration of friends and family who were there the whole way. My goal was to bridge the gap between that chapter of their lives and the present day, while ensuring I captured their personalities, the wedding day’s energy, and even the decor that nodded to their love of music festivals with disco balls and a leave-one/take-one table.

The end result was a wedding film that wasn’t constrained to the 10 hour weding day. It was free to hold the story and memories beyond the day.

THE WEDDING DAY

Surrounded by the beautiful estates and gardens of Cheekwood, Liz & Steven’s wedding was a chapter that almost didn’t happen. The film begins with a breakup letter from years ago. Flash forward to a white dress, beautiful stories, and everything that adds to what makes a wedding day so special.

Brian’s story (and actual super 8) of the moment Steven connected with Liz.

The way Liz’s father and brothers gathered to love on her.

The energetic dance floor, an ode to their love of music and festivals.

Those are some of the moments that made this film truly unique.

Their film was crafted around their story of tough decisions and reconnection, allowing their wedding film to reach beyond the wedding day itself

My goal was to create a film that told the whole story, even the heartbreak, without subtracting from the beauty that followed their rekindled love.

A film that feels like them.
